BREMAX has participated in numerous Fall Hazard Assessments for the U. S. Navy for over 20 years
BREMAX assists customers by developing prototype fall protection mitigation strategies to determine the best solutions and strategies for institution-wide implementation. The intent of surveys are to identify fall hazards associated with personnel performing work at heights. Surveys are performed in accordance with appropriate methodology such as that defined in the Office of the Chief Naval Operations Manual (OPNAVI M) M-5100.23, Chapter 13, OPNAV M-5100.23, Chapter 13, and in the referenced Department of the Navy Fall-Protection Guide (FPG). The hazards of interest are situations in which personnel would be in danger of sustaining injuries by falling from heights greater than four feet—or from any height onto dangerous equipment, into a hazardous environment, or onto an impalement hazard—without proper fall hazard mitigation. BREMAX researches potential solutions and performs evaluations and trade-off analyses. Recommended solutions are identified regarding fall protection equipment for each fall hazard and preliminary cost evaluations are developed.
